On Sunday (2025-01-19) at 7 pm UTC, Mayor Tuna held the first ever "Chat 'n' Chomp Night", allowing townsfolk to have their concerns addressed directly by those in power. There were many questions, ranging from the current state of the sniffer infestation to the use of tax revenue.

After the brief Q&A session, Mayor Tuna began to discuss upcoming policy changes as well as the next steps regarding some high-profile cases. Here is what Mayor Tuna had to say after the event:

However, it should be noted that this recollection of the event seems to have a very specific bias to it. Here is a quick breakdown of everything that was either not covered or misrepresented by the recap:

The Tennets of Moorwood

These were mentioned in the recap, but what was not made clear was that the initial creation of these rules would not require a positive vote of 10 or more citizens, allowing the current administration to enact whatever laws they deem beneficial without any accountability.

"Rehabilitation" of Granite Town

A lot was said of our neighbors to the East, thinly veiled threats of violence, proposed attacks on their sovereignty, and allegations of violence against members of Moorwood. Lord Ewan claimed that he had conducted an investigation into recent raids on Moorwood and has determined that they originated from Granite Town, however declined to provide evidence of this investigation when asked.

Upcoming Court Proceedings

Multiple warrants were issued for criminals (or those deemed criminals by the administration) and justice was promised. Lily and Skye who fled town after the legally dubious auction have now been declared criminals and will not be allowed back in Moorwood except for while participating in their court hearings.

After the Q&A, worried attendees rushed the Mayor's office to clarify some of the more aggressive stances.

The Tensara Times reached out to Mayor Tuna after the event to get clarification on some of the points above, but they declined to comment.
